Responsible marketing

Our marketing activities are regulated under the National Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) Act No. 27 of 2006.

Going beyond mandatory regulation, CTC conducts all its marketing activities in strict conformity with BAT’s International Marketing Principles which provide consistent and responsible guidelines on how to conduct our business.

Youth Smoking Prevention

We vehemently oppose the marketing and sale of cigarettes and tobacco products to youth under 21 years of age. The Youth Smoking Prevention campaign is a key trade initiative promoted by CTC throughout Sri Lanka. We have taken several measures to constantly educate our trade partners and retailers against the sale of tobacco products to underage persons.
